Tune in and open up
An intuitive exploration through sound, on guitar and vocals. Sound spaces where music can be co-created freely through the use of open tunings, with the possibility of building songs from scratch — shaped by your own ideas and themes.
Sessions are offered one to one, in two forms. As lessons, for anyone wanting to find their own intuitive way into the guitar, without theory and without a right way of doing it. Or as open sound sessions, where the aim isn't to learn an instrument but to make something together — a creative, therapeutic space rather than a lesson.
About the teacher
I studied music for a few years as a teenager but never really got anywhere with piano or guitar. It was only later on in life, after falling deeply in love with sounds from all over the world, that I picked the guitar back up at 23 — this time without the theory.
I sat with it and listened. Rather than learning shapes I was supposed to play, I followed the ones I actually resonated with, and slowly began building songs across many different tunings. The lyrics came the same way — playing with words picked up on my travels, alongside ancient ones from my studies, including Sanskrit and Aramaic. It became a place to process life: to put down everything I was carrying, and to make sense of what I was learning.
These days I can tune a guitar to something completely random and build patterns from nothing, making music entirely in the moment. I co-create regularly with friends who make music, and with the children I support, all of whom have varying disabilities and needs. That has been the most beautiful part of it — watching someone with no musical training at all shape a song that's genuinely theirs.
I'd love to bring this to more children and adults in care, and to anyone who wants to find their own intuitive way into the guitar.
